So I Have a Blog Now

Michael has been working on and off all weekend to get this ready for me.  Now I have to think of something interesting to say and so far all I can come up with is, “Thanks, Michael.” 

No.  Wait.  I thought of something.  Daniel had a rough time last night.  He seemed to want to nurse but then would kick at me and push me away while he was still attached.  It was very frustrating for us both and I couldn’t figure out what his problem was.  This morning during Sunday school, Michael said he spent a lot of time gagging and playing with his tongue.  I went to nurse him and he acted the same as he had been acting in the night.  Finally, I took him off, he screamed and I saw a small piece of dried leaf stuck to the roof of his mouth.  In the struggle to remove it he ended up gagging on it several times and then finally swallowing it.  After that he nursed wonderfully and fell asleep peacefully.  Wow.  The poor kid had been struggling with that piece of leaf in his mouth all night long!  Now I have something else to check off on my list of “Things that Make Daniel Behave Oddly.”  Sheesh. 

And the Waffle House we go to every Sunday after church was strangely empty when we went today.  I hope it was just due to the time change.  We love our Waffle House and the cooks and waitresses who know us and take care of us.  They see us coming and start the decaf brewing!  We want business to be good for them.

Michael says I can come back and just make another entry if I have more to say.  Ha!  There’s ALWAYS more.
